The Office of International Affairs and Global Network is pleased to offer the in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University, themed 'Sustainability and Climate Resilience: Collaborative Learning through Coastal and Urban Experiences in Thailand'.

The Chula Global Youth Leadership Program 2026 focuses on sustainability and climate resilience, using Thailand’s coastal and urban environments as learning contexts. Taking place in Bangkok and Koh Sichang, the program brings together undergraduate and postgraduate students from top global universities for interdisciplinary learning, cultural exchange, and hands-on experiences. Participants will engage in lectures, workshops, community activities, and group projects alongside international peers, exploring environmental and social challenges within Thailand.

UQ students may not apply to Chulalongkorn directly. Up to two UQ students will be nominated, and one waitlisted, for the program by UQ. The final participants will be selected by Chulalongkorn University.

Application Requirements:

1. CompleteÌýthe Global Enrichment Experiences application (below) and include:

  • UQ studies report (downloaded fromÌý)
  • Copy of your passport
  • Personal statement addressing the following criteria:
    • Strong interest in sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
    • Evidence of prior experience in SDG-related activities

2. Eligible students will be nominated toÌýthe Chula Global Youth Leadership Program 2026.Ìý

      Experience Eligibility Criteria

      To be eligible to participate in this global enrichment experience, you must:

      • be a current:
        • Undergraduate student
        • Graduate student (Masters)
      • not due to graduate before the completion of the experience
      • have a strongÌýinterest in sustainability, climate resilience, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)Ìý

      Exams and assessments

      It is your responsibility to ensure that participation in a Global Enrichment Experience does not impact your exams or assessments at 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ. Please be aware that you may not be eligible for deferred or supplementary exams or assessments if there is a conflict.

      Costs and Accommodation

      Program related expenses, including the program fee, accommodation (in shared rooms), main meals throughout the official program activities, and local transportation related to program activities, will be covered during the Chula Global Youth Leadership Program.Ìý

      Accommodation in shared rooms is provided in Thailand for the duration of the in-country experience.Ìý

      Insurance

      Students will be covered byÌýÌýfor the duration of the experience.ÌýIf you plan to travel for a longer duration that the experience covers, or outside the country of the experience, you are liable for the cost of additional travel and health insurance.Ìý
