With its traditional yet dynamic setting, the T-IES short-term programs at the University of Tübingen offer you a unique opportunity to experience Europe up close! Do not justÌýlearnÌýabout European societies -ÌýexperienceÌýEurope up close with a choice between three different Study Tracks. Class sessions are highly interactive and intercultural, combining traditional and innovative teaching styles, including field trips and field research conducted by you.

Students are required to complete all courses from either Track A, Track B or Track C, a German language course and an intercultural workshop during this experience. Field trips are a mandatory component of the course.

Credit EquivalentÌý

6 ECTSÌý= 2 UQÌýUnits. Maximum of 2 UQÌýUnits upon successful completion of experience (pending UQ faculty approval). Students will not receive credit for the German Language course.Ìý

If you intend to undertake your experience for credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to Global Experiences at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note, however, that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.

Application Deadlines

OS-HELP loan applications open on 5 January each year.

OS-HELP loan applications can’t be accepted:

  • any earlier than 6 monthsÌýbefore the official start date of your overseas study
  • any later thanÌý3 monthsÌýbefore the official end date of your overseas study.
