Motivation
I have always been interested in living overseas, and I wanted the opportunity to meet new people and experience a new country/culture and the college lifestyle.
Personal DevelopmentÂ
On this experience I made a lot of new friends who I am still in contact with, had the opportunity to explore a lot of new places and experiences, and got to learn about healthcare in another country, which is very interesting as a nursing student.
Academic DevelopmentÂ
It was great getting to learn at a new university as things run very differently to UQ, and it was good to try some classes that are not available at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. It was challenging to adjust to new class style, assessments and grading system, but it was helpful having other students with me and gave me skills of adaptability to overcome these challenges.
Professional Development  
This experience gave me more confidence in doing things by myself and seeking out opportunities when available. It was difficult living away from home for so long for the first time but the friends I made over there made it a lot easier so finding a good community was very important to me in overcoming this challenge.

$25000 total, approximately 10000 accommodation, 3000 flights, 2500 visa, 2200 dining plan, 4500 fun activities/travel, 1800 other mandatory costs, 1000 miscellaneous costs
Accommodation
Accommodation was reasonable, although a little expensive. My roommate ended up being another UQ student by coincidence. Pros were living close to friends, cons it was a little dirty when we arrived. I got most information from doing my own online research and talking to past exchange students.
